Pounding on the Plains. College Ball. Knights' new gym. Astros are the best! “If you ain't first, you're last.”

Hey Sportsfans!

College football is entering the most interesting time of the season. With the (#1 AP poll) Tide sitting in the driver's seat for the College Football Playoff, if they win out they cruise to the playoffs. However, (#6) Auburn could play the role of spoiler if they upset Bama on the Plains in two weeks. If the Tigers play like they did this past weekend in their destruction of (#1 CFP rankings) Georgia, the Tide will be in for a tough fight. Assuming (and this is a big assumption) Auburn defeats Bama and then Georgia in a rematch at the SEC Championship, do the Tigers become the first two-loss team to play in the College Football Playoffs?  Their losses were to Clemson (6-14) and LSU (23-27). My money is still on the Tide in the Iron Bowl, but they will have to play their best game of the year in a very tough environment. Anyone have extra tickets?

Ci, Rob and TSG enjoyed pregame festivities prior to the Auburn / Georgia game last weekend.

These past few weeks #3 has gotten her first tastes of college ball in scrimmages against several D1 and D2 programs. Faster game. Whole new world. She's adapting well and playing several minutes in each game at low defense. Some things are the same, but many are new. Great watching her play with the older more experienced players. Regular season begins in February.

Altamont recently opened its newly renovated gym earlier this fall. What a huge improvement. Awesome new facilities, locker rooms, sports medicine, Hall of Fame, weight room and wellness center. Very impressive! Go Knights!

City of Houston needed this. The Astros topped the Dodgers in a very exciting seven game World Series. First championship for the 'stros. I'm ready for spring training.

Ricky Bobby, Rainbow Unicorn and '80s Girls had big Halloween fun.

Fall is flying by. Turkey. Finals. Latkes. Big Apple. Santa. Bowl Season.

Be well,
