After a few weeks of alternating between jeans and shorts, it appears for now that shorts have won out. That could change any day now, but let's hope for the best. The sports world never stops and the past couple of weeks have been jam packed with great stuff.
It's not very often a Centennial Celebration takes place. It's not everyday that the celebrant is your grandfather. What an amazing weekend with family and friends.
Last week while Em was in Dallas with 2800 of her closest BBYO buddies, Nelly and Josh Malina from West Wing, the Mountain Brook Lady Spartans started their season off in fine fashion. They took care of a new program from Prattville. In the 18-0 scrubbing,. the Spartans flexed their experienced muscles in the easy win.
A few weeks ago Em I took a quick trip to Winter Park to check out the campus, her new roommate, some lax (canceled) and some baseball (against West Florida).
This past weekend with Em in Gulf Shores, the Lady Spartans (3-0) took on two Huntsville teams up in the Rocket City. They took care of Huntsville (13-2) and James Clemens (15-5). Nice wins for the Green and Gold. Em returns to the field this weekend with team for two games in the ATL. Will be a real test against some experienced squads.

I like what I am hearing from the Braves spring training camp, but then every fan says that about their team every year. Mountain Brook Spartans boys hoops team has made it to the Final Four for the fourth straight year. They take on McGill-Toolen later this week.
Have a great week, everyone!
